Whatever happened to Fanny Packs? I mean they were so practical and while not the most stylish, I really wouldn’t mind wearing one again! I had one when I was younger and they were cool and then at some point they became dorky and nerdy. I saw a guy at the airport wearing one and it reminded how handy they were – everything was right there in his reach and not buried in a bag. I am thinking how nice it would be to wear one when I am holding my boys hands and carrying our baby girl. How nice would it be to not have to carry a purse around! I know a fanny pack doesn’t hold as much as purse but that’s the point! I know I can’t be the only one who thinks fanny packs are cool, and while I wouldn’t wear one now since they are not in fashion, I secretly hope that they become cool again. Or maybe one day I will just say “F?!K It” and wear one anyways. I wonder if you can even buy them somewhere or if I will have to scour thrift stores?

My mother-in-law bought fanny packs for my whole family (except my husband who absolutely refused) for Christmas in 2009. We actually wore them at Disneyland, and they were such a lifesaver. I'm sure other people thought we were nuts (those crazy people in the fanny packs), but my kids had their own snacks, they're easier and more convenient to carry around and take on rides with you, and they were small and easy to pack. I know it's not "cool," but I loved having our fanny packs. :D
