MY THOUGHTS:

I am a total picture-aholic but after I take the picture and upload it to my computer, it just sits there.  I don’t print them or make pretty online creations with them, but I pretty much leave them there.  Oh I do upload to Facebook and send them to family members online but I should say I don’t do anything for myself with the pictures!  I tried traditional scrapbooking but it just wasn’t for me and I tried creating photobooks online with various sites but I felt pressured to finish creations and order them.

MyMemories Software is awesome!  I installed it on my Mac computer and within minutes I was up and running.  (I did have a few glitches initially installing it when I first tried to install it but it was because of software updates on my computer and user-error!)  MyMemories allows you to create no only scrapbook pages but also videos to share, display (DVD and iPod Ready) and cherish.

When you first open the software you choose whether you want to create using a template, design your own or browse templates online.  While the program does come with tons of great templates it is very tempting to buy more designs.  Luckily the designs are super reasonably priced.  That is probably the only issue I have with the software is that when you are creating something the additional designs are right there on the sidebar and too tempting to purchase!

Once in the software you can quickly and easily add pictures, music, additional embellishments, and just start changing things around.  I decided to start with a template to create a few scrapbook pages for my baby Olivia.  So far I know I have only touched the surface of what MyMemories can do.  I am planning to create  a whole video slideshow to send to our families and I know they are going to be impressed!

Using the software is self-explanatory and user friendly.  I had no trouble navigating around and for extra guidance I found great digital tutorials from MyMemories.  There is so much to choose from that it can be overwhelming at first but after I took my time I checked everything out I had the hang of it.

Overall the possibilities to create stuff is endless.  I love that I can create scrapbook pages for myself at my leisure, share them online or on DVDs and even print them out myself or have the pages professionally binded through MyMemories.  It is nice too that you can use the software both on a Mac and PC, but of course you want to make sure your operating system meets the requirements.
