McDonald’s is launching their “Happy Meal Chefs” contest from now until April 18. The contest is for parents who love to cook with their children and McDonalds wants to see what you can come up with! Two winning parent and child teams will team up with McDonald’s executive chef Dan Coureaut in the creation and testing of new, nutrition minded Happy Meal choices.
There are more winners though – ten finalists will win a trip to the London 2012 Olympic Games as part of the Global Champions of Play Program where they will join kids from around the world to celebrate balanced eating and fun play.
The contest is part of the new Happy Meal campaign from McDonald’s that aims to make nutrition fun for kids. In addition to the contest, the campaign will feature new TV ads featuring menu items from recommended food groups from new Happy Meals (yeah for apple slices and kid-size fries.)
