Coconut, Triple Berry & Strawberry Shortcake Coffee From Dunkin’ Donuts, Say What?

This past weekend I decided that since the weather was nice and it was Mother’s Day, I’d invite my family and friends over for a Dunkin’ Donuts coffee party.  I received samples to make and let me say everyone was super excited once they saw the flavors we’d be tasting!

I know when I think of Dunkin’ Donuts coffee, I think of the orange bag of Original Roast.  I know there are flavored coffees out there  like Hazelnut, Vanilla and French Roast, I never really thought of flavors like Coconut, Triple Berry or Strawberry Shortcake.  Flavored syrups or creams to add to coffee, yes, but actual coffee flavored in those fruity flavors, never really thought about it.  About half my guests like Dunkin’ Donuts, the other half never had it.  Two of my guests especially did not like flavored coffee, period.

While the new flavors can of course be cooked hot as normal coffee is, I served it as iced coffee with whip cream.  To me it was a dessert and coffee in one!  I served the Triple Berry and Strawberry Shortcake and everyone at my party loved them!  They are awesome flavors to kick off summer and having them as iced made them a perfect drink to serve at the party.  I loved having the flavor without having to add in a cream or syrup, therefore adding in extra calories and ingredients.

I brewed these drinks in my latte machine with milk and poured them over ice.  I added some sugar and mixed it around, topping the drink with whip cream.  You can brew this coffee in your regular coffee machine as well, I just figured I’d use my latte machine since I have one.

Overall, the party was a hit and everyone was thrilled to take home a Dunkin’ Donuts gift bag so they can brew their own flavored coffee at home.  I think I have definitely made some Dunkin’ Donuts converts and I will be stocking up since these flavors are only around for a limited time.
