Kidde Saving My Family From Invisible Home Hazards

Disclosure: I was sent this product and a gift card in exchange for sharing this information and my opinion.

As a mom I feel like I have enough to worry about. Will too much dust aggravate my son’s asthma? Will my toddler hurt herself because she doesn’t know better? When will my son need his next heart surgery? There are so many things that I can’t control while there are other things I can.

When we bought our last house, our home inspector said we had to have carbon monoxide detector installed. I had never thought of having one before and I am definitely not alone. While 75% of homes have a potential source of carbon monoxide – like a water heater, fireplace, furnace, generator or any other fuel-burning appliance – only half of U.S. homes have a working CO alarm. So basically only half of people are safe from carbon monoxide which is completely invisible and odorless. Its a silent killer the leading cause of unintentional poisoning deaths in the U.S. The only way to stay safe from this invisible home hazard is to have a working carbon monoxide alarm.

I keep our house as clean as possible. I make sure my kids have what they need. I try my best as a mom and wife. But without a CO alarm, I am only partially keeping my family safe. So when we moved into our current house we made sure to have a few CO alarms installed throughout the house.

This Spring, Kidde released its Worry-Free Carbon Monoxide Alarm. It is the first and only UL-listed CO alarm to provide up to 10 years of protection, up to twice the lifespan of other available alarms. These alarms contain a sealed-in lithium battery that powers the alarm for a decade, eliminating annoying low-battery chirps while helping to keep your loved ones safe.  So 10 years of CO protection and one less thing for me to worry about each day.  No batteries to change and easy installation.
