For me, my husband grew up as a Cubs fan and even though my family are die-hard Sox fans, I go with the flow and like the Cubs along with my husband.  My kids are Cubs fans of course since that is what their daddy likes and they honestly like the colors of the Cubs.  I admit I am not a huge tv baseball fan, but I do love the whole experience at Wrigley Field.  Something about being there just makes me feel like a kid again and is comforting.  Baseball is such a timeless tradition and in Chicago, one of our traditions are the Cubs!
