Getting Refreshed With Turning Leaf #WineOverIce

Disclosure:  I was sent this product to review in exchange for my honest opinion.

I have never been a wine drinker but recently I discovered Moscato and it changed my opinion.  I love the sweetness of Moscato and honestly I never realized it came in different flavors.  Turning Leaf wines features four light and refreshing wine varieties:  Crisp White, Red Moscato, Moscato and Pink Moscato.  These slightly fizzy wines are best served cold or over ice, which I tend to prefer my wine cold anyways.

Turning Leaf gave me the chance to Refresh with their Refresh Moscato wines and I absolutely love them.  I had never tried anything other than regular Moscato and I never realized how good $8 wine could be!  Yes wine that is less than $10 a bottle can be good and surprising.  I broke out both of these bottles one night when my friend was over and I will admit we almost finished them.  The wine was not overpowering or bitter like other wines I have tried but rather light and refreshing.  Honestly the Refresh Turning Leaf Red Moscato is my new favorite wine!  I tastes fruity like a moscato but fuller like a red, if that helps explaining it!  The Crisp White is light but sweet, a perfect white wine with a little fizz.  Actually both wines have just a little bubble to them which I feels sets them apart from other wines.  I love anything with bubbles and normally wine doesn’t, just champagne, which I guess this is why its called Refresh.  These wines are perfect to unwind to and even pair well with everyday foods like pizza and hamburgers, yes not just cheese and grapes!  One of the reasons I never drink wine is I feel like it won’t taste right with whatever I’m eating, but so far I haven’t had an issue with Refresh.

I am so excited to Refresh it Forward to a blogger friend of mine, Maria from A Savings Wow.  She is a friend I met in St. Louis at a a blogger event only to realize we lived 30 minutes away from each other!  Ever since we have gotten together numerous times and we are even rooming together at BlogHer again this year.  I think she could really use a Refresh it Forward of her own as her husband recently suffered a stroke and as a mother of four she has had to hold her family together while he recovers, which I hear he is doing great.  She could definitely use some wine to unwind and relax even if it is only for a few minutes of her drinking some wine.  I am excited for her to check out my new favorite wine!
