Now that the holidays are over, the time for clean-up has begun. From putting Christmas decorations away to snow being tracked in from my kids, my house is a disaster. My poor floors have taken a beating this past month.
Well hello Swiffer BISSELL® SteamBoost™. It is a steam mop designed to take on the toughest cleaning jobs at home with ease. From my hardwood floors to laminate and tile floors, goodbye dirt and grime!

So how did the Swiffer BISSELL SteamBoost tackle the job of my messy floors?
So first I filled the water reservoir, it holds about 1 cup of water.
Then I attached one of the cloth pads by wrapping it around the bottom. You do get two cloths in the box and then you can pick up refills.
It worked just like it should. My floors were scrubbed clean with minimal work and when I was done, I just tossed the dirty cloth away. I honestly was amazed at how much dirt was picked up from such a small area!
Oh yeah you do need to plug it in as well, and the cord is super long so you don’t have to keep stopping!
Yuck! This was just from the small area in my kitchen by my garage door!
Ohhhhhhhh! Awwwwwww!
Now as far as continuing to use the Swiffer BiSSELL SteamBoost, I am not sure I really will. I found the reservoir to really use up the water, although I was really pushing the steam button to clean my dirty floor, and felt like I would have to keep filling it if doing a large area or my whole main floor which is hard surfaces. Then the steam pads are great with them being disposable but once they get covered in dirt then they really weren’t wet anymore and picking up dirt. My floors also felt dull after cleaning them, they were clean just not shiny and smooth looking.
For a small area or occasional use this cleaner might be practical, but for my crazy house I clean too much to have to bother with constantly filling the reservoir (which is not removable and you have to be careful filling) and changing the pads. You can use this as a regular Swiffer as well by just not plugging it in and just wiping the floors with it.
Overall, the concept of this product is great, but just not for my everyday use here. After thinking about it, I decided this will be what I use to clean our bathroom floors since they are small and constantly need a floor cleaning (thanks to my hair all over the floor and my boys missing the toilet.) I know other floor cleaners are around $100 and if you feel you will use it often I’d regular buying one of those that you can wash the pads instead of constantly throwing them away. For those that swear by Swiffer anyways, this product would probably be just in line for them.
BUY IT: Check out the Swiffer BISSELL® SteamBoost™ for $49.99 direct from Swiffer or find it at a store near you. The refill Steam Pads are available for $9.99.
