When Soup is More than Just Soup… Thanks Wisest Kid! @TheWisestKid #MmGood #AskWisestKid

Disclosure:  I am a Campbell’s Brand Ambassador, and have been compensated by Campbell Soup Company for my time.  But, all thoughts and ideas are my own.

Around five months ago I was introduced to a kid with a beard, yes  a beard, and honestly I wasn’t sure what to think.  The kid I am talking about is actually The Wisest Kid in the Whole World, he is the new face behind Campbell’s soups.  The more I thought about it though, the more genius I felt this campaign was.  I mean kids like to do what other kids are doing and relate more to kids than adults.  When my kids see The Wisest Kid on the Campbell’s commercials, they actually watch and are interested, whereas other commercials they are totally not interested.  It helps too that it is a kid with a beard and who can resist watching and smiling at him!

What The Wisest Kid does is basically introduce Campbell’s products and shows that they can be used in a variety of meal ideas.  Now I have used Campbell’s soups in the past to recreate more elaborate soup recipes, but I never really thought much of using soups to create non-soup meals.  I love that I have learned how versatile a can of Campbell’s soup can be!

So what the top three ranked recipes from the Campbell’s website:

Mini Macaroni Cheese Cups

Mini Chicken Pot Pies

Cheesy Chicken Potato Casserole

Campbell is a company that I have grown up with and I love that I can now share their wholesomeness and deliciousness with my own family.  Using Campbell’s soup as a recipe ingredient is also a great way to cook dinner with your kids.  It shows them how their favorite soups are in the dishes and is an easy way for them to help prepare them.  For example, my youngest son loves Campbell’s Tomato Soup but isn’t a big grilled chicken fan, but the Tomato-Basil Chicken is a dish he will try because he sees that his favorite tomato soup is used.

Cooking with kids though can be tough as they get may get anxious or you just want a simple recipe even younger kids can enjoy and help with.  One dad really thought outside the box when cooking with his kids in the kitchen.

Whatever you do with Campbell’s soup, its hard to not enjoy it.  I love that The Wisest Kid has taught my family to enjoy the soups both on their own and as an ingredient, plus we do cook together more often now.  I think it is important to encourage your kids in the kitchen as much as you can, who knows maybe one day they will start cooking for you!
