Disclosure: I received the product below to review in exchange for sharing my honest opinion.
Did you know that by the time a baby is potty trained, moms will have changed over 6,000 diapers? That is just for one kid, not times that by how many kids a mom has and that is a lot of stinky diapers! Now to me a dirty diaper is something I have grown used to, as I have had almost seven straight years of diaper changing. The smell from a dirty diaper though can be overpowering at times and really take over a room. Now I have tried many diaper pail systems in my seven years as a mom so far, and I am excited to have tried out the New Whisper® Diaper Pail. Ones I have tried in the past have required special bags, deodorizer tablets or just were pretty much small garbage cans.
The Whisper Diaper Pail is a new diaper pail system that makes it quick and easy to dispose of diapers,, using the motto “Spay, Step, Drop, Spray and Go!”
Features:
- Patented odor-free aerosol that activates spray by pressing a button called OdoGard
- Hands-free lid with a foot pedal
- Opening large enough that diaper doesn’t have to be squeezed in
- Designed by a PhD scientist and parent of five, as well as tested by moms
- Uses 7 or 8 gallon plastic trash bags (no special bags to buy)
So back onto the whole OdoGard technology. Basically it is a scientifically-engineered, independently-tested aerosol product that quickly attaches to odor molecules, then it securely bonds to form new molecules to lock away odor forever. OdoGard technology is water-based and biodegradable, making it safe around kids and pets. One Whisper Spray Can will normally last for one month.
First off the design of the Whisper Pail looks pretty similar to other diaper pails but you do get the spray can with this one. Its actually nice because you get 3 spray cans with it, which should last close to three months.
A flaw I do see though is the Push to Spray button is on the top which makes it easy for kids to push themselves and therefore waste the spray can:
I used regular 13 gallon kitchen bags, and they worked but I’d suggest the 7-8 gallon that they recommend since mine was so big and bunchy:
I will say my favorite feature is the large opening for diapers, whereas other pails have a small opening and you have to squeeze diapers in.
Big opening for diapers:
Lock lid open or closed:
Super easy to click the cover on to conceal the diapers:
Overall, I do like this diaper pail. I like the size and that it works with regular garbage bags. I think the spray cost will add up quickly, especially with kids pushing it (like mine did) but you don’t need to use the spray cans if you don’t want to. I also had issues where I didn’t push the spray can down far enough, and it kept spraying (wasting) inside. I do like though that you get three cans right off the bat, whereas sometimes you get just a small sample bottle. As far as smell covering goes, it works great. The pail has a door that closes the diapers in which contains them and then with the OdoGard technology it keeps the smell really hidden. Its easy to empty and use with the foot pedal, perfect for a mom with only one free hand!
BUY IT: The Whisper® Diaper Pail and Whisper® Spray TWIN Pack can be purchased on Amazon for $59.99 and $13.99, respectfully.
WIN IT: (1) US winner will receive a Whisper Diaper Pail

Well, the only time we deal with diapers is on the weekends usually when my brother’s gf and her two year old are here…I wasn’t even going to enter BUT..check this out… My dear mama is 75 and she has incontinence (no wonder, my brother weighed 10 lbs. 6 oz. and she is only 5’2..lol ) Anyhow, she will put her pads in a big ziploc bag and close it up tight and put in the bathroom garbage but do you know the smell of urine still comes through those bags. We spray Lysol and it helps for the most part but this Whisper Diaper Pail might just be perfect for this situation..what do you girls think? My dear mama is so feminine and dainty and I know she hates having to deal with this so I would love to win this for her. Thanks for the opportunity to win! 🙂
