A Vinylmation Love Story #BlankandBow #AD #CleverGirls

Did you ever see those cute little plastic looking Mickey Mouse designs?  The Vinylmation ones I am talking about.  I remember when we were in Disney World last, I struggled not to buy all of them!  They come in designs that are perfect for any mood, any event, and just because.  I admit I am a collect-aholic, and when I was younger I had so many collections I couldn’t even count all of them!  Now that I am older I have had to scale back, but the Vinylmation characters are seriously adorable!

Well Disney Interactive has teamed up with Google to launch an original animated short based on the Disney Parks Vinylmation collectible franchise.  “Blank: A Vinylmation Love Story” is a 38 minute stop-motion animation film that tells the story of Blank, an unpainted Vinylmation, on his journey through an original new world to find his lost soulmate.  The short film is available exclusively on Google Play, Google’s online store offering digital movies, books, music, apps, games and more.

I watched the short film and it is pretty cute.  I am not a big claymation lover, but this is cute because its Mickey Mouse! The story follows a plain, blank Vinylmation who was created without any colors or designs.  He feels alone and tries to change his design, until he meets his soulmate who looks just like him.  The story tracks them and his adventures.  It features friendship, love, creativity, adventure, and creating ones identity.  I love it especially because I have never been one to conform and this film shows that it is okay to be yourself.  At the end everyone is together and enjoying themselves.

To celebrate the premiere, Google is also inviting fans to share frames from the film with friends and family as digital greeting cards at blankmovie.withgoogle.com. After sharing a frame, guests can unlock a second special film, “Cranes in Love,” created especially for Google users.
