I received travel arrangements and tickets in exchange for sharing my honest opinion.
Allegiant Air started with just one plane flying from Fresno, California to Las Vegas, Nevada back in 1999. Allegiant now has a fleet of 68 planes, flying over 7 million passengers last year to over 90 cities nationwide. This year marks 15 yeas of low-cost air service to sunny vacation destinations across the U.S. They are celebrating by popping up in towns across the U.S. with free ice cream, $15.00 off coupons towards future Allegiant vacations and a chance to win free Allegiant flights. They are also offering fares as low as $89, perfect to book your summer vacation!
How does Allegiant cost so little? Don’t worry they don’t skimp on safety, but rather they just don’t include all the amenities you may be used to with your airline ticket. So yes snacks, drinks, priority boarding, luggage, there are extras but hey at least you get to decide whether or not you want to pay for them! They also are able to save consumers money because they have fewer flights from small airports, so yes you don’t have a lot of choices for flights but again it may be worth it in order to save money! My in-laws actually swear by Allegiant and go out of their way to go to the Allegiant airport by us.
When I recently experienced Allegiant I will say I was surprised at how small the airport was and how fast everything moved. I am used to huge airports in Chicago with tons of gates and terminals and people! The Rockford, IL Allegiant airport offered free parking and virtually no lines! We walked right up to the ticket counter and were greeted by a friendly associate who was able to seat my husband and I next to each other, which you don’t always get assigned seats for free. Airport security again was a breeze, same as big airports just smaller lines. I was worried the plane would be small but it was the same size as what I’m used to – 3 seats on each side. I will say I felt it was a little roomier by my feet which was nice.

Allegiant is by far a college students best friend. I recieved a full scholarship to Hawaii Pacific university and was conflicted because ar flight generally run from 600 and above BUT a friend recommended me to fly Allegiant. I checked it out and found countless amounts of deals for a cheaper price, I was ecstatic! I now only fly allegiant about 3 times a year to visit my family in Los Angeles. Allegiant plays a big role in my life by promoting cheaper air flights to help me see my family continuously. I love allegiant and have recommended it to all my college friends who need fly home to visit their family. Mahalo from Hawaii!
