Disclosure: This post has been sponsored by Zynga, but concerns my own opinion.
One of the first Facebook games I ever learned about was FarmVille. I remember getting flooded with requests for crops and help, so much so that I couldn’t even keep up with it! Well Zynga has finally launched a sequel to the world’s biggest addiction of the last few years. FarmVille 2: Country Escape takes the original game and concept, but has updated it with more strategies and elements of resource management. You can now play FarmVille anywhere and anytime! No more being tied to your desktop computer, now you can play it on your smartphone or tablet. So yes now you can even play FarmVille at work without playing on your work computer! Not that I am encouraging playing on Facebook while at work, but I am being realistic and know we all need a break sometimes! Yes FarmVille is a cheesy game but games are great for giving your mind a break. Whenever I take a break from work I usually come back to my project with fresh eyes and new ideas.
I haven’t played FarmVille 2 and honestly I probably won’t because it is an addicting game and I am too busy to get dragged into it now, but the game does look fun. If you stopped playing the original FarmVille because of the pestering of your Facebook friends, you can usually stop games from posting to your account and you don’t have to badger friends who don’t play if you don’t want to.
