When I was pregnant with my first child I remember having a craving for whatever was advertised on television. Saw a commercial for Olive Garden, that is where we went for dinner. KFC, yep dinner. TGI Fridays, another dinner. It was so silly but seeing those foods on tv made me hungry and crave them. I didn’t have any other crazy cravings, but my TV cravings did drive my husband a little crazy! I also started to like things I never liked before, like I could not get enough sour cream on my foods! With my other two kids I think I was just to busy to crave anything. I didn’t eat much with them (at least not like my first) and I did get tired and a little sick from not eating like I should.
Did you know that half of all pregnant women will experience morning sickness and eating small meals throughout the day is one of the key tips in helping with the issue? Luckily I didn’t have morning sickness but I did get motion sickness and still to this day I need to be the driver wherever we go or I get motion sickness.
Well Sea-Band has created a line of products specifically for pregnant women called Sea-Band Mama, including drug-free morning sickness wristbands and anti-nausea ginger lozenges. When I think of Sea-Band I think of something I use when we are going on a boat, which I am sure most people think of. I have used those wristbands in the past and they worked great so I assume the new line is just as great! This line helps pregnant women get through those queasy trimesters. Some women get sick just in the beginning, some not at all and others can be sick their whole pregnancy which is no fun at all. Pregnancy is hard enough on our bodies!
The two new products of the Sea-Band Mama line are: Sea-Band Mama Ginger Lozenges and Sea-Band Mama wristbands.
Sea-Band Mama wristbands use acupressure to trigger the P6 Nei Kuan pressure point on the inside of the wrist to alleviate nausea from morning sickness. Stimulating this pressure point helps the body to calm nausea and vomiting.
Free from artificial colors and flavors, Sea-Band Mama Ginger Lozenges were formulated with essential ginger oils to help relieve upset stomach. They also include folic acid to contribute to a normal maternal tissue growth during pregnancy.
