My kids love watching videos on Youtube but I don’t always have time to sit there and monitor what they are watching. One time I put on LEGO superhero videos for my boys which are mostly kids playing with superhero pieces but then I heard swear words and of course some teenagers thought it would be funny to make a video with swear words in it. I worry about my 3 year old especially because she doesn’t really know what she is doing on our tablets and just starts clicking all over it.
Magicflix is the perfect solution for giving my kids some freedom to watch videos but with the assurance that they will be safe and appropriate videos. The app is free and for a limited time you get access to all the channels and videos. Once you click to open the app it goes to a screen like the one above. Your child can then click a channel such as Science, Music, Nature or so forth and browse the videos. There are so many videos available that my daughter hasn’t even come close to watching them all, plus she watches some of them more than once. There are even videos with characters she recognizes, such as Word World. My daughter loved that she had the freedom to pick any video she wanted without me turning it off or checking it first.
Have a video that you feel is appropriate but its n0t listed? You can easily add that video on the Magicflix Parent Site for it to be checked and posted. I love that there is that option as there are so many videos out there and I am sure Magicflix doesn’t have the resources to check them all. Magicflix only includes videos checked and deemed safe. Oh and once you set up Magicflix you can even select your child’s age so they are even geared towards their specific age.
I don’t know what will change with the app since parts are only free for a limited time but it is an app I’d consider paying for. My kids really like it and they don’t even realize they don’t have access to all the videos out there. They are happy with it so I am happy with it. I have enough to worry about and this app saves me from adding another worry to my plate. I love too that my kids are learning as well from this app, but again the videos are so fun they don’t even realize they are learning!

What do you mean only parts of it is free? What are the options that come with the paid version that are not available on the free version?
