Clean Air Without Filters With the Venta Airwasher {Review}

While I try to keep my house clean and we don’t have any pets, I still worry about the quality of our air.  My middle child has asthma and allergies, so I especially worry about him.  It can definitely be overwhelming though shopping for an air purifier as there are many brands out there featuring them.  It depends too on the size of your room, how often you think you’ll be running it, if there is a particular style you’d like and if there is anything else you might need.

For me, I like when air purifiers don’t use filters because that is one less thing for me to worry about.  I also needed one for our bedroom that isn’t bulky and would look nice on my nightstand where I was planning on keeping it.  Luckily Venta has just the product I needed.

The Venta Airwasher LW15 is a compact sized air washer that is perfect for rooms up to 200 sq. ft.  Best of all though it does not require filters!  Yep no filters!  Now too with the crazy winter cold and flu season, an airwasher is especially important.

So first off, what exactly is an the Venta Airwasher?

• It is a 2-in-1 system that constantly humidifies dry air in the home while simultaneously purifying it.

• The airwasher pulls in dry, dirty air and washes it water.  Washing the water stops the transmission of bacteria, germs, dust, allergens and odor, even the smallest of particles.  At the same time, pure water evaporates, humidifying air to the perfect level.

• Its built in Germany and built to last a lifetime.

• Its easy to operate, fill and clean out.  To clean it, you just need to wipe it down with a damp cloth.

• It is whisper quiet.  There is still a noise, but its more of a quiet fan.

Honestly since having our Venta Airwasher set up I have slept better.  Our room is no longer dry.  We have been sleeping better and sick less and honestly I am giving the credit to our Venta Airwasher.  It is amazing how something as simple as water can make a difference.  I would say our Venta Airwasher has been a worthy investment.  It is a more expensive cost upfront but when you think about the money you won’t be spending on filters, it makes it a reasonable price.  I actually am looking at filters for a purifier we have and they are $80 for the package and I will have to pay that again in 6-9 months.  That is just for our purifier.  You have to think too how the Venta Airwasher is both a purifier and a humidifier in one.  That means you just need one unit in your room, rather than two.  I will say though if you are looking for a humidifier that blows the cool mist out, this is not one of those.  It works its magic basically invisibly.

Venta claims that an airwashed room stops the transmission of infection and while I can’t test that, I will say I take their word for it.  You can also add Venta Eucalyptus oil to your Airwasher for an aromatherapy feeling.  I haven’t tried that yet but will hopefully get around to it!
