Create Your Own Doll or Action Figure Plus Video From AvaStars

Last month I heard about a new “experience” that was at the mall near my house.  By “experience” I mean a store you visit, go through the experience and then receive a product.  AvaStars is a store, well more of an experience where kids, and even adults, can choose who they want to be and then be transformed into the STAR of their dreams in a 3D animated video.  The best part though is that after your experience, in just a few weeks your child will receive a personalized AvaStars doll or action figure. This is something totally new, something I at least had never heard of or even thought possible.

What an amazing gift to give your child!  I seriously cannot say enough good things about AvaStars.  It is something that kids can enjoy while they are experiencing the AvaStars figure they choose, they can enjoy the video created with their personalized AvaStar and then they can enjoy their doll or action figure for years and years.

Here is how our store experience went:

First we headed to Oakbrook, IL to our local AvaStars store, which just opened this past November:

My kids were amazed when they saw the dolls and action figures they could create.

First the child (or adult) goes into this open booth (like a photo booth but open on both sides) and stands in front of a screen.  They do have to wear a black headband if their hair covers their forehead or ears as it can distract the facial recognition software.

Finally he is my 3 year old getting transformed.  AvaStars does recommend ages 4 and up but they said they would try with my daughter. Olivia was so excited that she followed the directions just fine and they were able to get her AvaStar done!  The whole process takes just a few minutes and the associates were super helpful working with her and explaining to her what to do, which was basically just stand still.

Our experience with AvaStars was amazing and the associates were patient and friendly with my three.  Then just over two weeks later, I received our doll and action figures in the mail via UPS.

My kids have played with their dolls non-stop.  My daughter especially loves her princess doll and even sleeps with her.  My boys have put their army guys in their rooms on their dresser.  The dolls are regular doll/action figure size and can be re-dressed with other doll clothes, but my kids honestly love the outfits they are in so they haven’t asked to change them.

Overall, I am so excited to have experienced AvaStars.  It is something my family will cherish and actually my kids can’t wait to go back and make another figure in a different style!
