Getting Throat Relief From a {Softish} Throat Drop {Review}

There are some things that you just assume are supposed to be that way.  Like the Earth is round, grass is green and cough drops are hard.  Well until now I had no clue that you could get throat relief from something soft, or actually I should say softish. Actually I must have been living under a rock to not know about Pine Brothers, seeing how they have been offering their softish throat relief since 1870!

Pine Brothers are widely known as America’s original throat drop, they feature all natural ingredients and their unique “softishness.”  The brand was started by a former German confectionery maker who combined the soothing natural qualities of plant glycerin with the healing properties of gum acacia into one softish drop.  The recipe actually is still the original recipe from 140 years ago!

Like I said I assumed throat drops had to be hard, but honestly I am loving the softer versions from Pine Brothers. I feel like I am actually soothing my throat with the drops rather than crunching them down like hard candy!  They even say they can be dropped in hot tea for added soothing power!

I tried out Pine Bros. in Natural Honey and Wild Cherry flavors but they also have Black Licorice flavor, which sounds pretty interesting!  Oh and to make it even easier to take with you they come in either a value sized bag of 32 drops or in a convenient plastic container perfect for your bag or purse.  I actually keep it in the car so I always have some handy and I keep the value bag at my desk.  I love that there are different flavors and different varieties available.

I think a softish throat drop is great too for people who have a hard time with hard cough drops.  My kids actually enjoy these as well and since they have natural ingredients in them I feel okay giving them some.
