Snacking Sweet, Salty & Crispy With M&M’S® #Oscars #Ad

Disclosure:  I received compensation and product to review in exchange for sharing my opinion.

I admit I have a guilty pleasure and its reward shows.  There are three or so that I watch and they actually all seem to be right around each other.  The next show coming up is the Oscars this weekend and I just love seeing all the celebrities dressed up all fancy.

When I watch award shows I don’t like to have a huge spread of food, since its usually just me watching it, but I do love to have some of my favorite snacks.

One snack that I have eaten since childhood is M&M’S and they are still a snack that I eat today.  What I love about M&M’S is that there is such a huge variety of flavors that whatever I am in the mood for, there is practically an M&M flavor of it!

Well for the Oscars this weekend I chose to pick up three flavors of M&M’S, mainly because I couldn’t decide on just one flavor and figured three bags were a good amount. My husband is actually interested in watching the Oscars this year with me, probably because we haven’t had much time alone together and he knows it would be a good time to cuddle together even if we are just watching television.

The flavors I’ll be eating:

M&M’S Milk Chocolate: The classic M&M’S® Milk Chocolate candies have been one of the most loved chocolate treats in the world since 1941.

M&M’S Peanut: M&M’S® is passionate about quality peanuts – Only 1 in 100 peanuts is lucky enough to find its way into a bag of M&M’S® Peanut.

M&M’S Crispy: Back by popular demand, M&M’S® Crispy returned to shelves in January 2015. M&M’s Crispy feature a delectable, crispy center covered in rich, creamy milk chocolate, enclosed in a colorful candy shell. This crispy and delicious treat comes in a new, eye-catching, bright green bag.

This year M&M’S are commemorating the biggest night in Hollywood by debuting a commercial on national TV that shows the familiar M&M’S characters invading the movies!  I think that it is awesome that they have a spot during the Oscars as M&M’S and movies (or tv watching) go together perfectly!  Their fun, bright colors, delicious flavors and variety can make any occasion sweeter!

I was thinking I might make something extra sweet this year and looked to the M&M Facebook Page for inspiration:

How will I be enjoying M&M’s during the Oscars?  Well I am going the simple route and mixing two of my favorite snacks: popcorn and M&M’s!  I first mixed these two snacks when I was in high school and couldn’t decided between chocolate or popcorn so I got both.  I ended up with one handful of popcorn then one handful of M&M’s and they taste quite good together! The sweet and salty combination go together perfectly and are also super quick and easy to be thrown together!

Do you have a favorite award show or tip for making it a sweet night?
