I still remember the day I missed a home cooked meal from my mom. I was having a really bad day while away at college and all I wanted was the comfort of my mom’s meatloaf. It was so strange because when I lived at home, I always ate out with my friends and I never once craved my mom’s meatloaf (or really any other meal in that case.)

A British girl names Carmen, moved to the Arctic and while she missed her friends and family from back home, she especially missed her mom’s cooking. Knorr flew her mum all the way out to her to cook her favorite dinner! Carmen immediately recognized her mum’s cooking and the flavors she was missing from back home. Carmen didn’t know her mum was there but rather was soaking in the comfort of her mum’s cooking, which she didn’t know her mum actually cooked there!
It’s been some time since I sat down at my paren’t table for a meal, but I will always have my favorites from my mom and think of her whenever I eat similar foods. Knorr actually completed some research that found that regardless how much time has passed, a mother’s cooking is found to be one of the greatest flavors on earth. In fact, 75% agree that just one mouthful of their mums home cooking is enough to bring happy memories from childhood and 82% say that the taste of some foods remind them of their childhood. About 77% of people even agree that food is always a part of themselves and it can transport them back to loving childhood memories.
