Our weather here in Chicago can be pretty crazy. We go from snow one day to over 100 degrees the next day, well at least it seems like it. Our weather is pretty unpredictable and something you can’t prepare for.
Well with Blue Lizard you can at least prepare for the UV rays, which I consider to be invisible dangers. They are something that are not seen so they are easily forgettable. I admit too often I forget to put sunscreen on my kids, but I am really working on that.
Blue Lizard Australian Sunscreen is a sunscreen that originated in Australia where the standards for sunscreen are the highest in the world. If a sunscreen is meant to handle the Australian sun I feel pretty good about it handling the sun over here in the U.S. Actually Blue Lizard is now manufactured here in the U.S. under the same strict standards of formulation for sun protection using only the highest quality ingrediants.
Blue Lizard is clinically proven to protect against broad-spectrum UVA and UVB protection. It is a mineral-based cream that delivers SPF 30+ formulation and is also water-resistant. Sunscreen that is not water-resistant to me is not practical so I appreciate that this brand is.
Worried you don’t know when exactly UV-rays are harmful? Blue Lizard Smart Bottles actually change colors in the presence of harmful UV rays, as a great reminder to cover up. What a genius idea and great way to remember to re-apply.
There are five sunscreen formulas available: Baby, Sensitive, Face, Sport & Regular
Baby & Sensitive are paraben-free, chemical-free and fragrance-free; Face is also oil-free and all formulations are mineral-based containing Zinc Oxide.
Sport & Regular are extremely water resistant. These formulas meet Australian standards of staying on in 240 minutes of whirlpool water.
Face is a non-comedogenic, broad spectrum UVA/UVB, SPF30+ skin protectant plus daily moisturizer. It is packed with antioxidants like Vitamin E, caffeine and green tea which help rejuvenate skin and reduce signs of aging. I use a moisturizer daily and love that I could use this to serve two purposes.
Overall, I really like Blue Lizard. It does not feel greasy and it does not leave a residue behind, it rubs in smooth. No scent that could be irritating and it goes on white so you know where to rub it in. The best feature though is the bottles or caps turn blue when UV rays are exposed to the bottles. This is such a great reminder that I need to reapply sunscreen to my family. I was truly amazed to see the bottles change and my kids were pretty impressed. It is hard too to know when sunscreen should applied when its cloudy too so this is a great reminder when UV rays are present. I like the size of the bottles as well as they are perfect for traveling with.
No matter what your need or skin type is Blue Lizard has a product available. Blue Lizard is also the brand most recommended by pediatricians, dermatologist, pharmacists and moms nationwide.
