While I am no fitness expert, honestly “fitness” is not even part of my vocabulary, I do appreciate technology. Not all technology is geared towards having you sit on your butt, but rather some products are actually encouraging to make you get up and move. Yep I’m talking about activity trackers. They seem to be all the rave today and they are getting more and more high tech.  The very first one I had actually clicked up and down when I walked to count my steps and that is all it did. Nowadays activity trackers can track not just your steps but also your overall health, emails, social media notifications, phone calls and more! It is crazy cool how much they jam into a small wrist bracelet.

Jawbone’s new devices, the UP2 and UP3, are the perfect tracker whether you are into fitness or tech.  They are the thinnest, sleekest and style-savvy tracker available! The Jawbone UP trackers are fitness reinvented with style and start at just $99.99.

Some features of the UP trackers:

  • Advanced Activity, Advanced Sleep, Food Logging, Smart Coach and Heart Health

These are features specific to the UP3:

  • Durable design with multi-sensor technology that adds accuracy to Smart Coach.
  • Advanced sensors to track your true sleep stages – REM, Light and Deep. With Smart Coach users can maximize their sleep and improve the quality of their days.
  • Advanced bioimpedence sensors can track a users resting heart rate and use that information to help take care of themselves.

While the Jawbone UP activity trackers won’t give you notifications on your missed calls or emails, it will help you manage your health. It is a simple and easy way to get started, which at least for me I am all about a nudge in the right direction.  I love the design of these bands and how they are not bulky. I am not sure if I like that they don’t offer the calls and notifications but I do think it would be a nice break from that part of my world and a great way to get a step in the right direction for my health.

What do think? Ya or Nay on the band functioning as just a health activity tracker compared to other bands with more functions.

BUY IT: Check out UP by Jawbone to get started on your health in a fashionable manner of course!
