Celebrating the Fourth of July With Capri Sun #CapriSunCrew @Capri_Sun #sponsored

I have posted before about how Capri Sun gets my family going in the summer and the Fourth of July is busy for us. Since school ends for us the second week of June, the Fourth of July is the time when we really kick off the summer and enjoy the few weeks before school starts up again. Well maybe more than a few weeks but it seems like summer goes by so fast.

This year the Fourth of July is over a weekend which means it will be even busier for us. So far we have plans for a parade by my in-laws house, a carnival by my mom’s and fireworks by our house with the neighbors. So what is a busy mom to do? Pack snacks of course! We drive a lot in the summer since my parents and in-laws live an hour away in opposite directions so I am constantly packing and re-filling a snack bag to bring with us. I stock up on snacks, zipper storage bags and Capri Sun juice drink pouches.

Capri Sun pouches make it easy to throw in my bag because my family thinks they taste great without refrigeration and they don’t take up a lot of room. Those little pouches are surprisingly durable too and I have yet to have a problem with one in my bag. I say that because I have had beverages leak in my bag before and that just makes a big mess.

Luckily Capri Sun is available in so many yummy flavors that there is a favorite flavor for all of us. Yep even I am a Capri Sun fan. The sweet, yummy goodness is enough to help quench my thirst while satisfying my sweet tooth. I usually pick up the Original Capri Sun Juice Drink flavors as my local store seems to have the most of them.

This year though I am thinking it might be time to switch over to the Capri Sun Big Pouch for my husband and I. They are 11.2 fluid ounces which is about double the original Capri Sun Juice Drink pouches.  With all of us sucking down Capri Sun, it might be easier to have a bigger pouch that would last us longer. It does not have a straw but rather, it features a re-sealable cap. It is a Capri Sun juice drink perfect for on-the-go since you can close it up if you don’t finish it all.

I do though like the variety of classic flavors of Capri Sun and it’s easy to buy a few boxes for our weekend fun. They don’t sell the Big Pouches by the box.  I say boxes because you can never buy just one box since they can go fast! It is crazy how much the five of us in my house can’t get enough. On a weekend when we have lots to do, a couple of boxes are a must.

So back to our Fourth of July fun, so far I just have a few snacks, a game and Capri Sun pouches but with three kids I have a lot more to pack. From sunscreen to blankets to a change of clothes and some more games, luckily I have a great big bag with plenty of room for what I need.
