When we first looked at our house there was seven guys renting it out, so you can imagine what the carpet looked like. Our main floor expect one room is hardwood, but our whole upstairs features this very light beige colored carpeting. I was able to look past the stains but we made sure that during our home inspection it was noted. The home owners had to get the carpet cleaned before we moved in. I honestly didn’t expect much.
Somehow though when we moved in, the carpet looked brand new. There was carpet lines from the carpet cleaner they used, otherwise I would have thought it was brand new carpet! Now we have both an upright and compact carpet cleaner that we use, but it never comes out as amazing as it did when we first moved in. I wish I would have known who or what they used!
We haven’t bothered with paying a company to come out before as my kids were young and I figured what was the point. Plus there is the cost and I thought it was way more expensive than it is. Now that my kids are older, I feel like its time not to mention us being way overdue!
I do though also worry about chemicals used from professional services as my kids spend a lot of time on the floor and my middle child has asthma I don’t want aggravated. Well after some research on carpet cleaning I found that it is a lot more affordable than I thought and some companies even use green cleaning solutions.
Green Choice Carpet Cleaning NYC is a company that I found that actually uses certified green cleaning solutions that is safe and non-toxic for families. No toxic chemicals are used. Does that mean its not as effective? Nope! Green cleaning has come a long way and has proven itself to be effective in eliminating stains. Green solutions are biodegradable and restore while prolonging the beauty of the item that was cleaned.

I just came across your post about green carpet cleaning. I recently used a company out here in CA to do the same thing and was so impressed with how it turned out. The price was great and I kept thinking about how much time I had saved myself by hiring someone instead of trying to do it on my own. I'll never rent another carpet machine again!
One of my favorite things to clean is the floor! We took out our carpets long ago and never looked back. We now have ceramic tile and with pets it's so much easier to keep clean.
