Kid Safe Videos Both Online and Off @Kidjotv #KidsTV

I partnered with this app in exchange for sharing my honest opinion.

Do you struggle to find safe and age appropriate videos for your kids to watch? As a mom of three I can’t always be there to screen what each of my kids are watching so I like to be prepared ahead of time for what I know will be safe for them. I’ve tried picking out YouTube accounts but there is too much going on that is not age appropriate that is easily clicked on. I’ve tried too video services where it plays videos for kids, but they were not videos my kids wanted to watch or they were too babyish.

Kidjo is an app that creates a safe place for kids ages 2 to 7 years old to view videos they will actually want to watch! From cartoons to nursery rhymes to tv shows and kids series, Kidjo has a little of everything. Kidjo was created with children and parents in mind with features that appeal to both.

Some of the Kidjo features include:

  • Fun and easy to use design
  • Curated shows from award winning content
  • No advertisements – yeah for nothing kids can click on to take them all over the Internet
  • Educational and entertaining videos to help kids learn and grow
  • Parental controls to set time limits and language restrictions
  • The ability to download and save videos to watch offline such as while in a car, train or plane!
  • Customizeable e-mails to keep parents informed about the content their child is viewing

As I said earlier, the videos on Kidjo are ones my kids actually want to watch, not babyish or all original shows. Don’t get me wrong, there is nothing wrong with “original” created shows but they do have to be fun and engaging. The videos are ones my kids recognize the characters of or they just fell in love with the show.

Some of the shows are:

  • SamSam
  • Trotro
  • Garfield
  • Yakari
  • Mr Men
  • Taratabong
  • Vitaminix
  • Monster Math Squad
  • Umigo
  • Lucky Fred
  • DipDap
  • Open a Door
  • Where are you?
  • Yoga for kids
  • Tom & Matt
  • Boom & Reds
  • Van Dogh
  • Zumbers
  • Alex
  • Green Light
  • Telmo & Tula
  • Stop Motion
  • Lucas The Monster Truck

Okay so yes there is a catch, with the free version you can’t download the videos to watch offline. To me that is a feature I really love and it’s worth the $4.99 a month subscription fee. My kids have their own tablets but they don’t have a data plan on them so if we are out they can’t access videos unless there is a good wi-fi connection. When we are home, I love that they can watch whatever videos they want from Kidjo without me having to watch over their shoulder. My kids love too the freedom of picking which videos they want to download to view later. Oh and even if you stick with just the free version, you still get it ad-free which is the most important feature I look for in apps for my kids.

So next time your child wants to watch a video on their tablet (which if your kid is like mine then it’s probably daily), think of how much easier it would be with Kidjo! It’s an app that has your back when you can’t watch over your child’s!

Check out Kidjo from both iTunes and Google Play.
