Get a Haircut, Share a Haircut in Your Community #ShareaHaircut

I partnered with this brand in exchange for sharing my honest opinion.

When your child’s hair gets too long, you get it cut, right? I mean a haircut is pretty cheap so most people take it for granted, I know I do. The truth though is not everyone can afford a haircut. Families who have limited budgets may not be putting haircuts high on the priority list. Haircuts can really add up for a family.

Just in time for Back to School season, Hair Cuttery is launching their Share-A-Haircut program. The program first launched back in 1999 as a way to engage with the salon’s communities. From August 1-15th, for every child up to age 18 who purchases a haircut at one of the almost 900 Hair Cuttery salons, one free haircut certificate will be donated to an underprivileged child in that same community. Certificates are then distributed with the help of more than 100 local government and non-profit organizations in communities across the country.

As of May 2016, Hair Cuttery has donated 1.89 million free haircut certificates, valued at approximately $30.35 million to those in need. This summer, Hair Cuttery is hoping to donate tens of thousands of free haircut certificates ahead of the new school year.

I stopped over at my local Hair Cuttery with two of my kids and it felt great knowing that while I was getting them a haircut, two other kids in our community will also be able to get a fresh look for back to school.

Hair Cuttery believes in making beauty shine from within and a new style is just what a child needs to start off the school year with confidence. I know I feel better after a haircut and it does make me feel more confident. After my kid’s haircuts, they were all smiles and my son said he felt so much better. Its amazing how just a few inches of hair can make a difference.
