Do You Know the Sleep Quality of Your Family?

I partnered with this brand in exchange for sharing my honest opinion.

As a mom of three I feel like I will never have a sleep schedule down pat for my family. With crazy schedules and different personalities it is hard to make everyone happy. My youngest son and I for example are night owls and if I let him, he’d stay up all night. He is also a terrible morning person, no comment on myself. My oldest son and husband are morning people and always up super early ready to go. My daughter is 5 years old and kinda in-between us all right now.

When my kids were younger, I read books about sleep training but as my kids have grown, things have changed. Now we have so much going on and schedules that keep changing but I know the importance of sleep. I struggle to make sure everyone (myself included) is getting the sleep they need. Bedtime regularity is especially important for kids as they are still growing. Kids mental health, physical health and overall life performance is dependent on sleep.

A study has shown that students who had grades of a C or lower averaged 25 to 30 minutes less sleep per weeknight than their classmates who achieved A’s or B’s. Children with irregular sleep times are also 6 times more likely to display hyperactive behaviors. Having a device that allows you to track overall sleep quality sounds like a great tool for parents.

After some browsing around I found a product called hugOne which is a sleep monitor that tracks sleep patterns to help families rest better. hugOne tracks sleep phases, as well as temperature, humidity and air quality for the whole family. For adults there are trackers that can be worn, but that doesn’t help everyone in the family. I know for myself, I don’t like sleeping with anything on and my kids wouldn’t keep anything on overnight.

hugOne is actually two products – first there is the hugOne base that is places in the living room to track air quality and show light notifications when its bedtime. The Sleep Sensors are then placed in the corner of the mattress for each member of the family. In a manner of no time you’ll have personalized advice to improve sleep. It even has a smart alarm allows the user to wake up at the best moment of your sleep cycle to feel refreshed and well rested. All the information is sent to the Sevenhugs mobile app. The initial hugOne kit allows for tracking two people but there also is a hugOne +4 minihugs for larger families.
