Jewel-Osco is a store that I remember going to as a child with my mom and now I take my own kids. It is a store that reminds me of family. With my family of three growing kids, our grocery bill sure seems like it keeps creeping up each time I shop. If you hadn’t heard, or maybe noticed, Jewel-Osco does not use their preferred card anymore. Now they have MyMixx which users can add items to save on through the Jewel-Osco app. I want to stress though you don’t have to do anything with MyMixx to earn those Gas Rewards, other than registering your phone number. You can though, of course, use MyMixx to save even more money! I have even seen free products pop up in MyMixx for me!

So how does the free gas thing work?

• First, you need to download and register with the Jewel-Osco app, available for iOS™ and Android® devices, OR register at JewelOsco.com. (So no excuses that you don’t have/use your smartphone since you can also do this on the computer!) There is no card to keep track of. Just your phone number!

• After you’re done shopping, just type in your phone number on the keypad at the Jewel-Osco register.

• Gas Rewards are then redeemed at participating Shell stations when using the same registered phone number at the pump or inside the station before fueling up.

You earn points too on more than just groceries!

Filling prescriptions! Every $1 spent on select pharmacy items with your account earns 1 point if you use your registered phone number at checkout. This includes your out-of-pocket costs for new, transferred and refilled prescriptions.
