For some that is an easy question while others who have experienced heartache may have a tougher time deciding. Most stories have some sort of love in them, whether it be for an object, power, family member or partner. I believe love is important and can shape people’s behaviors.
“The White Princess” is a tale of power, family, love and betrayal, charting one of the most tumultuous times in British history uniquely from the point of view of the women. The new show premiering on STARZ is drawn from the novel “The White Princess” by Philippa Gregory. The tempestuous marriage between Elizabeth of York (Lizzie) and King Henry VII, officially marks the conclusion of The War of the Roses, but the real battle for the throne is far from over.
A couple who are rivals are forced to marry to give peace to England. Will their marriage save England? Will they end up falling in love? Or will they continue to despise each other?
So many questions that can only be answered by watching the show!
Thinking to all the stories I have read about, they are usually told by a male perspective. This story being from the point of view of women is sure to be a great story. Women see and feel things so differently from men that it will be interesting to hear their perspective. Having the story set in 15th-century British history gives the story an even more interesting twist due to it being such a political and emotional time period.
