This past month I have been in full spring cleaning mode. I’ve been going room to room purging things slowly that we no longer use or have outgrown. It honestly feels so good to get rid of items but I admit I am not being as thorough as I should be.
One spot that I haven’t touched is our medicine container, we don’t have a medicine cabinet. I don’t keep a lot in there and it’s not a spot that I think to spring clean. It is more out-of-sight-out-of-mind.
From throwing out expired items to re-stocking essentials, a medicine cabinet is not something that should be forgotten about. For me, I like to clean out my medicine twice a year. Once in the winter when I stock up on cold and cough medicines and then again in the spring when I stock up on nasal spray and allergy pills. I hate not having the right medicine on hand when I need it, especially for my kids.
When sick gets real, you know your kids. You know for example if one is more prone to fevers or bad coughs.
Children’s Advil® is great for reducing a child’s fever fast for kids as young as 2 and up to 11. For kids who are all about particular flavors, Children’s Advil® even comes in flavors such as Sugar-free Dye-free Berry, Bubble Gum, Grape, Blue Raspberry, Fruit and Dye-Free White Grape flavors.
Children’s Robitussin® Extended-Release 12 Hour Cough Relief is a brand you can trust to control and relieve symptoms al-day or all-night. The flavors come in grape or orange and some varieties are for ages 4 and up and some are for ages 6 and up – so definitely check the age minimum on what you buy.
If you need a medicine that is for multi-symptoms such as stuffy and runny nose as well as coughing, Children’s Dimetapp® Multi-Symptom Cold Relief Dye-Free is a great-tasting medicine that’s dye-free. This medicine comes in grape flavor and is for children ages 6 and up.

I usually start spring cleaning in my kids rooms, then the bathrooms, and then our room. These rooms are in the back of the house and work my way forward.
