Wait, These Things Can Make Mom Life Easier?

As much as it’s the most amazing job in the whole entire world, being a Mom can be a lot of hard work. When you have your first child, you can even get a bit of a shock at how much you have to do, on such little sleep! Then, as your family grows, that task just gets harder. But somehow, we get through it all. But, wouldn’t you want to know if there were a few things you could add into your life to make things just that little bit easier? Well, Moms, there are – especially for when you have a newborn.

Bibs

First up, here’s one to make mealtimes that much easier. We all know that babies can be messy when they eat. You only have to have food thrown across the room, on the floor and even in your hair once to realize that. But, as much as they try, they can also get it everywhere even when they’re being tidy. So, of course, you need a bib that’s going to save you from clearing up so much. In particular, a crumb catcher style bib can save you a lot of time and stress!

Swing

As much as we’d all love to be able to cradle our babies to sleep a few times a day, it can become an impossible job. Not only because you still need to be able to get things done, but to save your sanity too. At the same time, you can’t just drive around the neighborhood for hours on end because being in the car sends your little one to sleep. Instead, get a swing cradle that can vibrate and gentle swing your baby to sleep instead.

Pumping

Feeding your baby can be a great way to form a close bond, especially when you choose to breastfeed. However, if your baby likes to comfort feed, or you are demand feeding, you may feel as if your baby is attached to you all day, every day. Thankfully for us all, breast pumping can often allow you to have a bit of a break so that Dad can get some feed in too.

Reminders

If you thought the dreaded pregnancy brain was bad, just imagine it amped up when you’re trying to survive on little sleep and care for your new tiny human. Trying to remember things, get to appointments on time and generally function can be hard when you have a little one. But, it’s not impossible, you just need better organization, and your smartphone can help with that. With the reminder app, you can set things to go off to remind you when you need to do them – even if it’s just something like bathe.

Childcare

At times, you just need a break. You need to get dressed up to feel like yourself again and hang out with other adults or your husband. So, you might want to think about utilizing childcare every now and again, just to give you a refreshing break. Even if you just get a sitter for a few hours and head out to dinner. It could be the welcomed break you’ve been needing.
