Going Back to School With Kmart & Nick Jr. #BeyondtheBackpack #Kmart

Last weekend I headed over to my local Kmart in Chicago for a fun Nick Jr. Beyond the Backpack Event. It was a fun, free event that was all about going back to school with help from Kmart and Nick Jr. The event was all about getting kids ready for not just school but helping them build and support a solid foundation for their educational future.

While the event has passed, you can still get ready for back to school season thanks to your local Kmart. It has so much to offer from snacks to pencils to backpacks.

I could have spent an hour shopping Kmart and picking up last minute school needs and more but my daughter began to feel sick. Luckily we got to have fun at the Back to School Event and do some browsing. I wish though I had time to buy some items to stock up since it will probably take about two weeks before we run out of pencils at home and we will run out of snacks within a week.

As a parent and small business owner, I like to use back to school season time as a time to stock up on my household essentials. Since my kids are in school all day, I use this time as spring cleaning. I stock up on cleaning supplies and whatever else I need to get my house back in order. A summer with three kids at home can really take a toll on a house!
