Test Your Vision With Your Smartphone and EyeQue

I received product/compensation in exchange for sharing my honest opinion.

I still remember the day I got my first pair of glasses and being so excited. Back then it seemed like all the cool kids wore glasses. Well, the novelty of glasses wore off and regular testing has become a nuisance. I honestly dread going to the eye doctor but know how important it is. Eye technology has definitely come a long way though.

I often wonder though how accurate my eye exams are or if my vision has changed before I am due for my next exam. I go about every two years (well I try to at least) but really my eyes could change anytime and I might not notice.

Did you know there is a way to test your vision at home?

The EyeQue Personal Vision Tracker is a small device that you strap onto your smartphone and go through a vision test on it. The tests take about 15 minutes and you do need at least 3 of them before you get detailed results.

I love that it doesn’t just spit out results after one test as it really does take an average to determine true results.

The way this vision tracker works is after you create an account and strap on the device to your smartphone, you test each eye by looking into the miniscope part. You have to align a red and green line to create a yellow line and you go through nine different ones for each eye. Very easy and honestly hard to mess up. The app actually walks you through each step telling you what to do!

Does this replace a doctor visit? No it doesn’t but it does give you insight over your vision and help you track changes. It doesn’t test your eye health either which is why regular eye exams are important. I look at the EyeQue Personal Vision Tracker as a tool to keep me on track with my health and a baseline for what my eye doctor eye exams determine. I don’t know my current prescription so I can’t determine the accuracy but I am excited to be able to compare once I do visit the doctor.

The convenience and portability of this tracker is what really makes it stand out for me. It is not always easy to head to an eye doctor so this might be a good starting point for those who may need glasses or need a new prescription.

Don’t miss the newest EyeQue product coming out!

The EyeQue Insight visual acuity screener is the fastest, easiest way to test and track your vision changes for ages 6 and up. It features a google design that mimics the 20 feet distance which ensures testing accuracy. Results are given in 3 minutes or less!

Insight screens for 20/20 vision in children, as well as monitors and records the tests for early signs of nearsightedness. This is especially helpful because the eyes are constantly changing at that age, and one doesn’t have to wait a year or two to go to the doctors, or even make an appointment for that matter. It really is a game changer!
