Teaching Kids Responsibility With a Digital Security Safe

I received product/compensation in exchange for sharing my honest opinion.

I cannot even count how many times a day I tell my kids to be more responsible with their items. From the money they received from Christmas to their new fitness watches, they tend to throw them stuff in a pile on their nightstand – which they share.

How did I teach my kids responsibility with their valuables?

I got each of them a small digital safe from SentrySafe. Not only does the safe look hardcore, not flimsy and plastic like ones they have owned in the past, but they can each have their own digital codes. No dial to mess with or silly codes (Left to 10, Right to 20, Left to 24…) to remember.

The SentrySafe Small Digital Safe is a secure nook for prized possessions and other small valuables. It is something too that will be something your child can use forever basically, heck I want my own one! It is a safe designed for all ages, with so many uses.

Perfect for:

  • Young kids to start learning responsibility
  • College students in dorms
  • Elderly in nursing homes

Features to appreciate on this small digital safe:

  • Solid-steel and pry-resistant construction

  • Digital keypad that you can program to a code up to eight digits that you’ll remember

  • Two override keys – perfect for parents to keep safe just in case kids forget the code or if the batteries die (although it will beep to notify you when it is time to change the batteries.)

  • Bolt-down capabilities to securely mount their safe to a fixed object, to deter theft of the safe as a whole.
  • Soft insert on the bottom to protect your items from a rough surface

  • Small enough that it can be moved but not something you’d carry around

Honestly, this safe has become each of my kids favorite item. They love the responsibility of their own code and safe and I love that I can access it, if need be. The safe is not big enough for a tablet but it is big enough to hold items such as money, a phone, watch or other small cherished trinkets. My one son even decorated his to personalize it.

With my boys especially sharing a room, I love that they can have some sense of privacy with their new safes. I haven’t had to yell yet either than they left something valuable laying out, now they can’t wait to put their stuff away in the safes.

Funny how something so simple as a safe has become such a hit in our household. It may not sound like a good gift but believe me when I say that it will get used. It is one of those items too that once you have, you think how did you live without it before.

BUY IT: Check out the SentrySafe Digital Safe for where to find it near you.
