There is no doubt that there is a strong connection between our health and the way we sleep. Studies proved that your productivity during the day is decided at night, in between the sheets (while sleeping). If your mattress is not designed to cater to your every need, it will be difficult to sleep like a champ and wake up happy and energized.
This is why I decided to do some research on the most comfortable mattresses on the market and the reasons why we should choose them. While browsing through products, I was inspired by this Tulo mattress review and identified four main reasons why we should always choose comfort over budget (or at least put comfort first within budget).
There is no better feeling in the world, than those first minutes when you wake up from a really good and relaxing slumber! You feel happy, nothing aches, and the brain is already active and prepared to face the world. As you stretch, a huge smile lights up your face and you already know what you have to do.
This boost of energy usually stays with you well within the day and helps you make important decisions. And the cool part is that all you need to get it is a comfortable mattress! When the bed supports your back just right and doesn’t overheat during the night, your mornings will be always beautiful!
A good mattress must keep you comfortable and well-supported without creating any pressure points at the surface. These are areas where the surface is either too soft or too firm for your needs, and the result translates to joint pain.
The most affected areas are the hips, the lower back, the shoulders, and the neck. When the mattress doesn’t provide enough sinkage, these areas will be smashed against the surface, resulting in pain or stiffness. On the other hand, if it’s too soft, the spine will not be aligned and tension points will be created.
A high-quality bed is engineered in such a way that it will adapt to your needs without compromising on price. For instance, the Tulo mattress (which is an all-foam design) allows the body to sink in the layers but also provides the back with support.
The sensation is so relaxing that you feel like sleeping on a cloud. Furthermore, there are three options of firmness to choose from, which gives every sleeper the possibility to select exactly the right surface. However, there are other designs on the market that feature different structures with similar results. In conclusion, you have plenty of mattresses from which to choose; you just have to know what you need.
Last on my list, but not the least important reason, is ventilation. A good bed must not overheat during the night, regardless of the temperature outside. Now, given the fact that foam is known to overheat, due to its dense structure, it is paramount to find a surface with several ventilation and cooling systems in place.
For instance, an all-foam design will use cooling gel insertions to absorb the heat from the surface and send it out through all the layers. On the other hand, a hybrid or an innerspring doesn’t need to implement extra cooling measures – the coils keep the airflow constant.
There are several other features to consider when it comes to comfort, but these are the ones that stand out the most. The idea is that, sometimes it is worth stretching the budget for more comfort; especially for a mattress, which will be with you for about eight long years!
