Singapore with Kids: The Best Places to Entertain Tots in the Lion City

Singapore’s serene, hygienic, and secure environment makes it a suitable place to visit with kids. The island state has green spaces scattered all over, footpaths that are pleasant for people to admire the beauty of the city, and plenty of child-friendly facilities, further affirming the place as an excellent destination for your young ones.

But before you plan your itinerary, you must first prepare all necessary travel documents for your kids. These days, getting a child passport is easier than ever. For most countries, almost the entire application process can be done online. You can prepare all requirements without having to step outside of your house, not even to get your document photos taken.

For passport photos, all you have to do is generate a 4×6 digital template, upload a photo of your kids, and have it printed at the photo department of any CVS Pharmacy. If there isn’t one near your location, you can have the printout mailed directly to your address. This hack is actually a much faster and cheaper option than availing of CVS’ passport photo-taking services. You can even do everything with just a few clicks on your smartphone if you have their app, which is available for free download on both iOS and Android.

Singapore allows passport holders of most regions to enter without a visa, as long as they meet all entry requirements for foreigners. However, if you are coming from other countries on a job or to visit, you need to arrange your visa to gain entry into the country in order for you and your tots to savor the breathtaking features of the city-state. There are several visa options, but to enjoy the privileges of freedom and flexibility, obtain a Singapore pep pass through one of the best visa agents.

Once you’ve accomplished everything on your family travel checklist, all that’s left to do is have fun! So what are some of the best places you can take your kids to have the time of their lives while in Singapore? Read on for a look at some of these fantastic sites:

Jurong Bird Park

From the city center, a half an hour drive will suffice to get you to Asia’s biggest bird park, where you and your kids will be treated by the marvels of 5,000 different birds from about 400 species. Some of the charming bird types you may see include Penguin Coast, Wings of Asia, Waterfall Aviary, and Birds of Prey. For more fun, spend some time with the kids at Lory Loft to give food to droves of friendly lorikeets. The visit to this bird-themed park with some wet and some dry areas gives the kids a rare opportunity to imitate the birds and run wild.

Singapore Zoo

You and your kids will find a perfect opportunity to get a close view of the animals—both big and small. The zoo utilizes natural barriers—streams, vegetation, and rock walls—to keep in the animals, while still giving you the chance to feel as if you are a part of what’s happening. The zoo is an expansive area, so you can board the guided tram ride to understand where you are and where you are headed. For a great time at the zoo, download the Singapore Zoo App from the Singapore Zoo website. The app will enable you to plan your itinerary, to get access to an interactive map, and to have educational information available at your fingertips.

Jacob Ballas Children Garden

If you have some energetic and active kids, go to Jacob Ballas Children Garden to give them a chance to burn some energy, as they receive exciting information about nature. Your kids will learn through fun and interactive sessions, thanks to the availability of exciting and educational sections, such as the Magic of Photosynthesis and the Sensory Garden. Also, there is the Kidz Café, which is purposely designed for children with small chairs and tables, along with a kid-friendly menu.

Universal Studios

This is a fantastic movie-based theme park. It has so many fun activities for children of different ages. The place can get busy, so to be sure to enjoy great stuff here, you should purchase tickets online and get there as soon as the doors open at 10 am. There is less activity during weekdays, whereas weekends are hectic, so you are better off getting yourself an express pass to skip the lines if you happen to go there on weekends.

For Kids And Kids At Heart

Travelling is one the best gifts you can give to your kids. It can be an exciting and enlightening experience for them as they get exposed to new sights and activities that are appropriate for their age. Thankfully, Singapore has all this—and more. The destinations and attractions listed above are only a few samples of what Singapore has to offer for the young and the young at heart.
