5 Reasons to Use a Water Filter Pitcher

Did you know that it can take up to 440 years for a plastic bottle to decompose? Crazy when you think about how many plastic bottles are sitting in landfills and floating in the ocean all over the world.

While it may not be something you think about, here are five reasons to consider using a water filter pitcher:

1. You may actually save money in the long run over buying case after case of plastic bottles. Think of your time driving to the store and the additional purchases you will make each time you buy those cases of bottled water.

2. You will save your sanity from those plastic water bottles being all over your house and car. In my house, I feel like I am constantly picking up half-filled water bottles from my kids and their friends. It seems so wasteful and a pain to keep cleaning up.

3. Many water filter pitchers actually filter your water to reduce contaminants such as lead, fluoride, copper, chromium 6, mercury, chlorine, and chloramines while keeping the healthy minerals like calcium and magnesium in the water.

4. Lots of different models to fit whatever your space is. Whether you need a narrow pitcher, short pitcher or another style, there seems to be a good selection available. In my house, we have a short shelf in our fridge that would make the perfect spot for a water filter. Some pitchers too have a dispenser at the bottom so you don’t even have to lift it out to pour it.

5. You are doing your part for the environment! I am all about reducing my family’s carbon footprint and I use a water filter pitcher to show my kids how little things matter.
