7 Reasons to Check Out Disney’s “Incredibles 2”

I have been a Disney Incredibles fans ever since the movie and was so excited to hear they were finally releasing a sequel. Even though 14 years have passed since the first movie, it feels like it was just last year. The movie is a classic Disney movie and I can’t decide which movie I like more.

Here are 7 reasons to check out Disney’s “Incredibles 2”:

1. It is a great family movie as it features an actual family! I love that it is a whole family as usually typical Disney movies feature a dead parent. There are some dead superheroes from the past but really no one current is dead.

2. The family works together! The characters are all about teamwork and realizing they need to work with what each other’s strengths are. Even though there is a tween and teen in the family, they still work together as a family.

3. While in the first movie, Elastigirl was a stay at home parent, this movie features her as the working parent and Mr. Incredible as the stay at home parent. I love how they show that it is okay for a dad to be home and taking care of the kids!

4. Frozone is back! I loved Mr. Incredible’s best friend Frozone and was excited to hear he is back and still with Samuel L. Jackson as the voice. Frozone actually has a bigger part too in this movie which is fun.

5. Speaking of families…this movie features a nice diverse set of ages. There is a teenager, tween, and a baby and they all act their ages and show what they are going through. Violet, for example, has her first date and Jack Jack is just learning his powers.

6. The movie has so many great themes hidden in it that are teachable moments. Families should work together. Friends are important. Some parents work and some may stay home, both work hard. Problem-solving and decision making.

7. Everyone has their own strengths and weaknesses and that’s okay. I love how each character brings something to the table, other than Jack Jack who is pretty out there!

I could go on and on about why I loved The Incredibles 2 but really you should check it out for yourself. I think I love it because it features a working mom and stay at home dad which is not often the case in animated movies. It does pick up directly where the last one left off but I don’t think you’ll feel lost if you don’t remember the first one.
