4 Must Haves For Your Baby’s Health

Your baby’s health should be given the first priority. The babies’ immunity is very low. So you should know how to care for your child to ensure that they maintain optimal health. If you have a few of these basic items at home, your baby will remain healthy. We are going to review some of these must-have items in your home. You may also check online for additional items you need to take care of your baby.

Here are 4 must-haves for your baby’s health:

1. First aid box

It is good to stock a first aid box with all the basic things that help in first aid. Always remember that babies should be taken to hospital in case of any medical conditions for checkup and treatment. But you may use a few of these items to check on the condition of the baby and offer first aid. A digital thermometer will help you to check the temperature of the baby. Diaper cream and anti-bacterial creams are also essential. You may also include small bandages, fever and pain relief medication such as acetaminophen.

2. Air purifier

You should ensure that the air around your baby is purified. Remember babies breathe faster so they inhale more air than adults. The air has pollutants that include bacteria and viruses which cause illnesses. Babies spend more time indoors. Indoor air may be polluted due to dust, pollen, and molds. Pollution from cleaning detergents and smoke may also irritate the baby’s respiratory system. This may cause sneezing, runny nose or even coughing. Investing in a good air purifier will help to prevent such health problems.

3. Feeding items

You should have a few supplements for your baby. With a proper diet, the baby’s immune system will be strengthened. That way, the baby can resist frequent ailments. You should invest in high-quality feeding bottles, a nursing pillow, and sterilizers. Cleanliness around the baby can help prevent infections. The baby items including clothes and the baby’s room should be cleaned frequently. You should use mild cleaning agents to avoid allergic reactions. It is also good to wash your baby at least twice per day. Optimal hygiene is important for the optimal health of your child.

4. Carbon monoxide and smoke detectors

Having smoke detectors will help you easily ensure that the baby is breathing clean air. In case of fire, you can also easily evacuate the baby before it’s too late. Carbon monoxide detectors can help you to know when the levels are too high. You may then take the necessary steps to ensure fresh air circulation in your home. The detectors should be placed in different places around your home. You should also remove pillows, stuffed animals and blankets from the baby’s crib. They may suffocate the baby especially if they accidentally fall on the baby.
