Snap, Print & Share with the Polaroid Mint

I received product/compensation in exchange for sharing my honest opinion.

My very first camera was a Polaroid camera. Something about taking a photo and seeing it print out just fascinated me. While digital cameras are awesome because you can take as many photos as you want without wasting film, there is something to be said for an immediate printed out picture. Honestly, I cannot remember the last time I printed out pictures.

Other than digital storage, digital cameras are popular because they are more compact in size. Well Polaroid has come out with the Polaroid Mint Instant Camera that not only prints out your photos but it is super compact, like the size of a smartphone or even a deck of cards.

Features of the Polaroid Mint:

  • 16-Megapixel photographs
  • Print instantly on 2”x3” sticky-back paper that is super easy to load
  • Paper is smudge proof thanks to ZINK zero ink print technology – no ink cartridges required either.
  • Available in fun colors
  • Pocket sized so its perfect for your purse, backpack or even pocket
  • For photos you can choose from vibrant Color, black & white or vintage effect.
  • 10-second timer option and since it can stand on its own, you can stand it up while the timer is running to take your photo.
  • Strap included so you can hold on your wrist easily and comfortably.

How did I like the Polaroid Mint Camera?

Honestly, for special occasions or travel, this is a fun camera. I will say I wish it had a screen where I could view the photos I was taking as I wasted a few sheets of paper on nothing because I didn’t know what I was printing. Once I realized I needed to be careful and steady while photo taking, I was able to get a great photo.

You do only get 5 sheets of paper so if you get this for yourself or as a gift, do buy additional paper right away since those 5 sheets will go fast while you are figuring out how the camera works. Luckily the ZINK paper is not crazy expensive and comes out to be around $0.50 a photograph which is not bad for the convenience you get.

I have so many plans for this camera coming up including photos in my kid’s classes and birthday parties that we can give the kids right away, photos for travel journals since they are stickers too and making fun photo gifts for people. The sticker part of the photos really makes them so versatile.
