Las Vegas may normally be thought of as an adult playground and bachelor party destination, but there are plenty of kid-friendly experiences to share with everyone in the family. RV camping is the perfect option for families looking to stay mobile and avoid the Strip’s high hotel prices. Plenty of great campgrounds in Las Vegas are available, too. Here’s a look at five of the best family-friendly RV Parks in the city.
Offering reasonable rates and a variety of amenities to entertain the whole family, Duck Creek is the ideal desert destination. You and your family can cool off in the year-round pool and spa. Also, kids can swing, slide and play in the sand at the onsite playground, while adults rest in the shaded picnic areas nearby. The park is pet-friendly and offers play areas for your furry companions, too. And for a tasty BBQ dinner, both charcoal and propane grills are available. Duck Creek also offers convenient access to the county park where guests can play baseball, soccer, and drive remote control cars and airplanes. If you need to take care of business, the park offers a PC, printer, copier and fax machine, as well as free Wi-Fi. There’s also an onsite park store that offers ice, snacks, select RV supplies, souvenirs and more. And if you just need a break to relax, there’s an extensive collection of DVDs and books available for guests to check out free of charge.
All campsites at Hitchin’ Post RV Park have free access to three HBO channels, local channels, the Golf and Weather channels, as well as Wi-Fi throughout the park. You can choose to burn off some energy in the fitness center or take a refreshing dip in the expansive 52 X 30-foot saltwater pool. Parents can take a breather and enjoy the beautiful beer garden featuring comfy lounge chairs, horseshoe pits, and dartboards. If golf happens to be your game of choice, the park offers a 750-square foot, seven-hole, putting green and driving range. There’s even amenities for dogs: Two dog parks and a newly installed private, hot water dog wash station.
Circus Circus RV Park, which is more like an RV resort, is located within walking distance of the Strip. It features 170 big-rig grassy sites with full hookups, complete with outdoor furniture. There’s also a great room with big-screen TVs when everyone is ready to relax — and don’t forget the onsite pools and hot tub. A free dog wash and off-leash parks are also available for pets. Not only is Circus Circus RV Park close to the Strip but the whole family can enjoy the Adventuredome, one of the largest indoor theme parks. It features free daily circus acts, an arcade, award-winning restaurants, plenty of gaming and much more..
Lake Mead RV Village is located about a 40-minute drive away from the Strip in the Lake Mead National Recreation Area near the Hoover Dam. The village offers amazing views of the beautiful Lake Mead and is the perfect base camp for the family who wants to spend some recreational time in the park and catch a break from the hustle and bustle of the city. Free Wi-Fi is available within the park and both gas and propane are readily available. The park is also pet-friendly and provides a ramp to launch a boat and the option to fish if you have a license.
At less than 15 minutes to the Strip and Freemont Street in downtown Vegas, this park’s proximity and amenities alone should put Thousand Trails on your list. A plus is that site areas and cabins were recently renovated and the park also includes areas for dogs to roam. Take a swim in the pool or relax your muscles in the Jacuzzi. Challenging each other to a game of horseshoes and finishing off the day with a meal around the BBQ are also options. Thousand Trails also puts on weekly activities for the whole family such as movie, karaoke, and game nights, as well as a Sunday worship service. If you’re looking for a day trip, you and your family can visit Valley of Fire State Park — approximately an hour away — for a fun-filled day of hiking and exploring. You can also take a brief walk from your RV site to the Parkdale Recreation and Senior Center or the Boulder Station Hotel and Casino.
With all the different amenities and locations available for RV parks in the city, a road trip to Las Vegas can be a fun time for the whole family. The RV park you choose can offer plenty of fun things to do, and you can also leave the park for family-friendly activities during your desert getaway.

Thanks for this post. We are full timers with a 9-year-old. We haven't yet been to Las Vegas. I've saved this list of sites!
I will pass this information on to my sister who is planning an RV trip to Vegas.
i would love to go here. it would be awesome
This definitely was pin worthy!! I have friends and family living in Nevada - so I know Nevada has much more than casinos ?-showgirls - plays! They go to places near these RV parks to camp and more! The scenery is worth it! My girlfriend and her husband sold their home when they retired and bought a huge RV and a powerful truck. They have been traveling all around the US. They’ve been on the road now for two years. Even their dog Moose travels with them.
They stayed at the Lake Mead RV Village. She said that they picked that park, because of Hoover Dam and that there is a lot to do at Lake Mead. I wish I could visit all of these parks! Well I would even love to visit at least one!! Thank you for sharing!
