Recipes You Can Prepare with Your Kids

When you are a mom, and you have a lot of things to do, like cleaning, cooking, taking care of your kids, you sometimes do not even know where to start. The last thing you need is your toddler standing in the way when you are preparing lunch, for example.

However, while you are doing these tasks, you often have to stop and check on your kids to see what they are up to. Moreover, involving your children in various house chores not only teaches them about responsibility, but they also feel important, and they value the time spent with you.

Plus, they are already with you, so you do not have to run from room to room to see what they are doing. While this review won’t give you some ideas about fun receipts you can try with your kids, it will show you some awesome tire changers that you can use on your kid’s bike. However, the following article will help you with the fun recipes. Not only will you prepare delicious foods, but you will also be spending some quality time with your little ones.

Bread pizzas

You can use deli rolls or bread, whichever you prefer. Small baguettes and crusty sandwich rolls also work great. Then, simply grab a whole bunch of stuff of whatever you find useful in your pantry and fridge. The next step is to prepare some caramelized onions by putting some butter in the skillet over medium heat.

Slice the onion and place it in the buttered pan. Leave it in, until it looks nice and brown. You can also fry whatever type of sausage you have available. If you accept pineapple on pizza, unlike so many people, go ahead and slice the fruit.

You also need to grate some mozzarella. Once you’ve got all your toppings together, you can start with the bread. Split the rolls in half and place them on a baking sheet. Then grab your pizza sauce which can be nothing more than jarred marinara, and spread it over half of the bread halves. Then, cover them with cheese.

Next, throw the toppings you like over them. Over the toppings, you can put the caramelized onions, tomatoes, bacon, and pineapple. You can also add in some bell peppers and olives. Of course, do not forget about condiments. Use whatever you have in the house, and whatever you like.

Once you are done building your pizzas, place them in the oven on the lowest rack at 375 degrees. After about eight or ten minutes, you can move them to the top rack for a few more minutes.

This receipt might seem chaotic, but that is just the point! You can use whatever you have available at home, and make the pizzas to the liking of each of your family members. Plus, your kids can help you with some of the preparations.

Salad in a jar

This receipt is not only healthy, but it is also fun to prepare and to serve as well. The great thing about it is that you can give your children complete control over what the jar contains. You need to select four veggies. As an idea for a great combination, you can pick peas, carrots, avocados, strawberries, and corn.

You can also add some ham, or some type of beans, to add some proteins to the combo as well. To make it even more delicious, add some crispy wonton strips, or some type of croutons for a crunchy texture. You need dressing and a mason jar.

First, you will need to chop all of the ingredients. The soft ones, like avocados, can be sliced by your kids with a butter knife. The next step is to lay all of the ingredients on one large plate, and then start layering them in the jar, one type of ingredient after the other, until the jar is full.

Something sweet

Well, this isn’t an actual receipt, and you only need two ingredients: eggs and sugar. This is for when you are desperate for something sweet and you have nothing available in the house. All you need to do is separate the yolk from the white.

If it is for your kid, you should only use one egg. Put the yolk in a cup, and add 2-3 tablespoons sugar. Now, you have to mix the two, until the sugar melts. Your kid can do this with ease. It is actually delicious, but you should not serve it too often.
