Living in Chicago means a cold winter usually with snow. Every year we say we are going to go somewhere but we never do. I am all about beaches and warm weather during the winter but my kids have been begging to go skiing because they have not tried that yet. Since it is too late this year to plan anything, I am starting my list for next year on potential vacation destinations as well as some other trips for throughout the year.
The saying “You only have 18 years with your child” always pops into my head. Actually you don’t even get a full 18 years because in the beginning they are too young to understand and then as then once they turn 16 years old they have a job and harder classes at school to worry about. I want to do as much as I can with my family while we are all under one roof!
One of our favorite vacations was a cruise but I have been thinking about an all-inclusive resort so we can enjoy more beach time. While I love being on a cruise, it can be a little jam-packed with activities, getting on and off the boat and I always feel rushed. A beach resort sounds so relaxing and all-inclusive means I wouldn’t have to worry about meals or planning activities. An all-inclusive resort is awesome too because it means, for the most part, your trip is budgeted.
