Changes To Your Home And Life After Covid

We have all been through a very strange time right now. These last few months have likely changed the way you feel about things and also made you rethink personal hygiene as well as cleanliness in the home and in other areas that you may frequent. We now have to ensure that we do all that we can to embrace this new normal, which means there have been some changes that we need to work through and also habits that need to be made. With that in mind, here are some of the changes to your home and life after COVID-19 and during what is still going to be our new normal for a while.

Antibacterial wipes and gel

One of the first big changes would be the use of disinfectant wipes and antibacterial gel and sanitiser. There is no denying that we know we need to wash our hands regularly, but using a disinfectant wipe on your hands or on the surfaces of your home regularly can make a big difference. A quick look online for disinfectant wipes in stock can help you get some for your home. The antibacterial gel can also be great while you are out and about. It can help you to keep sanitised when touching doors or being in spaces where you have had no control on the cleaning side of things.

Social distancing

Who would’ve thought that you needed to stay 1-2 meters apart from people you love or spend time with, but now this is our normal. Social distancing has been in place to avoid close contamination of germs, and it can mean that for now, family and friends need to keep their distance. This is meant to happen in the workplace, in your home, and also in places where others will be such as shops and restaurants. It may feel strange at first, but you will get used to this new normal we all face.

Keeping on top of your home

It is more important than ever before to remain on top of your home when it comes to cleaning and using antibacterial wipes and sprays can help kill germs that could be on work surfaces, door handles and other places you touch frequently. Having a cleaning schedule so that you can keep on top of this could be helpful to help you stay on track. You might also want to encourage people who enter your home to remove shoes, and also to sanitise themselves with a wipe or gel before touching anything in your home.

Explaining to your children

The biggest hurdle you may have faced has likely been explaining this to children, and that is understandable. After all, it is a strange time that we have found ourselves in. As long as they understand about things such as washing hands frequently, keeping a bit of distance from people they don’t know and understanding that they need to be aware of their actions then that should be enough. Children don’t need to know the devastating effects it has had on the world.

Let’s hope sharing these things helps you to get on track with our new normal.
