How to Keep your Floors Absolutely Spotless

There’s just something about having nice clean floors that give your property that polished feel. On top of this, having a polished floor is the best way for you to keep allergies at bay as well. That being said, keeping your floors clean is no easy task, but if you follow this guide then you will soon see that it is easier than ever for you to get a positive result out of your efforts.

Vacuum At Least Once a Week

Experts say that you need to vacuum up any solid wood flooring surfaces once per week, and that you need to do your carpets twice per week. This is mainly because carpets are much better at trapping dirt and dust. If you want to make the chore as painless as possible then it helps to invest in a vacuum that is not cumbersome. If you can do this then you will soon find that you can get the job done faster than usual.

Take your Shoes Off

This does not take any extra effort at all, but it is a fantastic way for you to ensure that your home stays clean. If you take your shoes off at the door then this will stop any muddy footprints and you may even find that it stops you from having to worry about dirt or dust being dragged in. If you can take your shoes off at the door quite comfortably then it would be wise for you to invest in a shoe rack as well if possible. When you do, you will be able to keep everything nice and organised.

Air Purifiers are Always A Good Investment

You may not think that having an air purifier is the best way for you to keep your floor clean, but they can make a lot of difference. Air purifiers can help you to clear out any dander, dust and allergens. As if that wasn’t enough, you will also find that they can capture any airborne particles before they hit the floor.

Pay Attention to your Rugs

Rugs can easily add a pop of colour, texture and pattern to a room. They are also ideal at attracting allergens, so this is something that you need to keep in mind. Before you vacuum up every week, you need to give your rug a shake. This loosens up any particles and it will make it much easier for you to keep it clean.

Don’t Forget about Grout

If you want to keep your floors looking new and shiny then you need to make sure that you do not forget about grout. At the end of the day, a baking soda solution that is mixed with vinegar should do the job here. This can be somewhat erosive, so if you have grout that is cracked or coming out then it may be wise for you to avoid this solution if possible. Instead, opt for a much more delicate solution that can be left over time so you can get the job done without damaging your floor.
