Share a Fun-Filled Trip With the Kids In Portugal

Are you thinking about exploring a new place on your next trip with the kids in tow? If so, then Portugal should be at the top of your list and here are some of the reasons why.

Beach Wonders

First, you should think about exploring the different beaches that Portugal has to offer. Portugal is definitely considered one of the best places to visit if you want a trip where you can have fun with the rest of the family on the coast. Aside from pristine stretches of golden sand, Portugal has some fantastic places to swim and enjoy a variety of watersports. You can even hire a boat to cruise around the coast. Just make sure that you do check the boat out before you travel. You don’t want to get stranded miles from the shoreline. The good news is a boat will allow you to explore parts of the coast that are completely inaccessible by foot or indeed, car.

Awesome Aquariums

Are you visiting Lisbon while you’re in Portugal? Perhaps you are staying in the capital city? Regardless, it’s great to know that there are luggage Storage Lisbon services available. This means that you won’t have to worry about dragging your suitcase around the city. Once you have dropped off the suitcase, you’ll be able to explore some of the best attractions the city has to offer including a massive aquarium. Indeed, the Lisbon aquarium takes about 3 hours to explore. Along your journey, you’ll encounter and spot a fascinating array of sea life that the kids are guaranteed to love.

Walk The Wall

If you want to ensure that your kids get some much-needed exercise on their vacation, we recommend that you take a trip to Obidos. The medieval town is only about an hour away from Lisbon so it’s a great choice for a day out away from the city. Largely considered to be one of the best places to visit in Portugal, one of the stand out experiences is walking the wall that was built around the border of the town. Do note that close adult supervision is required as there’s no rail on one side of the wall.

Explore Castles

Finally, if you want to take your kids on an enchanting adventure, you may decide to explore the various castles that Portugal has to offer. The best castles are dotted around Sintra and one stands out above the rest. We’re of course talking about Quinta da Regaleira. The stand-out feature of this castle is actually the garden. It’s the perfect place for young explorers, complete with secret tunnels and hidden passageways. You can even jump across stones around a mystical waterfall or climb a staircase down into a 27-meter-deep well.

We hope this helps you see that there are some wonderful adventures waiting for you if you choose to take a trip to Portugal with the rest of the family. Whether you’re planning on visiting the capital or heading out away from typical tourist hot spots, you’re sure to have a great time.
