12 Great Baby Group Reunion Ideas

When you have children, a baby group can be an absolute godsend.

Providing you with a terrific support network, they give you the chance to get out of the house, socialize with people in the same situation as you and share tips, techniques and knowledge about how to raise your little one.

Although baby groups tend to take place weekly, you often get together with the people you meet there for playdates outside of these sessions. At least while your children are pre-schoolers.

In some cases, these people may even become friends for life.

While life, work and school runs might prevent you from catching up with them regularly, now and then, you might have time for a baby group reunion.

Always a fantastic opportunity to chat, reminisce, laugh together and have some fun, here are 12 excellent baby group reunion ideas to consider next time you are planning one.

1980s

We all loved the 80s right? So why not base your next get-together around this fantastic decade?

Channel your inner Alexis Carrington by putting on a dress with huge, padded shoulders and donning a massive, permed wig!

Alternatively, relive your salad days with legwarmers, spandex leather pants or polo shirts.

Break out the Rubik’s cube and the Cabbage Patch Kids. Fill the Party Susan with snacks, make some cheese fondue and bake some mini quiches. Stick on some groovy tunes and bust out the worm, electric slide or running man.

The 1980s was the best decade ever! So it is the perfect theme for your next baby group reunion.

Beach

The beach is always a wonderful destination for any get-together, especially one that will take place in the summer.

Nothing beats the combination of sun, sand and surf!

While the kids can build sandcastles and run around until their heart is content, you can catch up on old times over a glass of wine on a lounger

Just be sure to wear plenty of sunscreen and a hat and stay hydrated with what in between sips of prosecco.

To make the fun last longer, consider booking into a beach resort for a weekend.

Private Dinner

Hosting a dinner party is always a great way to catch up with friends, family or a baby group reunion, particularly if you have a large entertainment space to accommodate them.

Whilst it is fun to show off your culinary skills to your guests, depending on the number of people you will need to invite, it may involve spending all day in the kitchen.

If this is something you would rather avoid, a terrific thing to do is hire expert caterers like Gathar’s Los Angeles private chefs

They can provide you with an exceptional range of gourmet food options that suit all budgets and dietary requirements. More importantly, they are sure to wow guests with their outstanding taste and visual appeal too.

Festival/Carnival theme

If you want to get into the party spirit what better way to do that than to host a festival or carnival theme?

Dressing up and dancing is always fun, but you can take it further by creating your floats, posters and themed foods.

There are plenty of festivals and carnivals you can draw inspiration from including Mardi Gras, the Notting Hill Carnival, the Fourth of July or the Rio Carnaval. So just pick one that inspires you and run with it.

Scavenger Hunt

Want to keep the kids happy? Then organizing a scavenger hunt is a great way to do that.

Essentially an outdoor game that involves people collecting various items from a list that has been given to them, a scavenger hunt is fun and educational for children. Allowing them to brush up on their problem-solving skills whilst getting fresh air and being physically active.

With these types of events, the more people involved the merrier. You can even come up with a theme like secret agents, superheroes or pirates to make it even more fun for the kids. Not to mention the adults who want to join in too!

Sports

If your baby group friends enjoy sports, then this is a no-brainer. Simply pick the one you like and get together to watch a game!

Alternatively, if you would prefer to play a game of football, cricket, softball or soccer, you can arrange a match.

This is a good way to get your competitive juices flowing and you can even get some customized jerseys made up for some added fun.

Camping

Camping is a very popular activity. So if you have baby group friends who love to do this then why not organise a getaway with them?

Whether that be by the beach, in a forest, near a lake, or by the foot of the mountains, it is always good to get back to nature.

Camping allows you to do this whilst spending quality time with your friends and family.

As there are lots of destinations you can visit, each offering something different, your time away can be as adventurous or relaxed as you want it to be.

Catwalk

Love to dress up? Then a catwalk theme reunion is a great idea!

You can arrange some chairs around a walkway, put up some lights and loud music and then get everyone to walk down it wearing their best choice of clothes!

For an extra touch of realism, choose someone to MC the event and encourage guests to take photos of the model as they stride up and down the catwalk!

Don’t underestimate how much fun you will have!

Games Night

Games are always fun. So, it is a good idea to incorporate them in any gatherings you organize.

This could take the form of anything from charades and poker to pool and Monopoly. Basically, any group game you love that is fun to play.

Need inspiration? Here are 35 family-friendly games night ideas you might want to play.

Dance Party/Karaoke

Worried your reunion might be a bit dull? Well, the best way to avoid that is to get dancing!

Hosting a dance party is always fun, particularly if you have a dedicated room or area you can turn into a nightclub.

So why not get the strobe lights going, pump out the tunes and even put up a glitter ball to get that party vibe going?

To ensure that everybody dances, you can create customized playlists on Spotify. Just include songs most people would have heard of that are easy to get your body moving to.

Trivia Night

Trivia nights are always good value and apparently, they are good for our mental health too!

This is because they are supposed to provide us with dopamine rushes similar to those you get from gambling but without any negative effects.

If you want to host a trivia night, some themes you can adopt include the 1980s, sports, geography or the year in review.

Questions can easily be sourced online, and you might want to give out prizes to the team that wins!

Talent Show

When you first met them, they were babies, but now your friend’s children are growing they have learnt a lot.

So why not give them (and your friends) the opportunity to showcase their skills and knowledge in the form of a talent show?

Whether it be singing, juggling, miming or doing an impression we all have a hidden talent to be proud of. Giving children centre stage to show them off will do wonders for their confidence. As well as be a source of entertainment for everyone!
