App Review

Reading and Playing Games with the bekids Reading App

I received product to review in exchange for sharing my honest opinion.

When my boys were little we had a lot of paper games and cards for them to practice their letters and words on. Tablets were just starting to come out and games were pricey or just not fun. When my daughter was younger, there were more options but definitely not like there are today.

Apps today are amazing with how they engage kids in fun ways to learn. There are apps for everything your child may be interested in but finding the right apps can be hard. You don’t want them wasting their time or you wasting your money on something that is not doing what you hoped it would. I honestly wish my daughter had these choices when she was younger as she now required reading and math help while in middle school.

bekids is a company who is comprised of a team of educators, designers, developers, and artists building educational apps just for kids. Their goal is to inspire a lifelong love of learning.

Reading is the cornerstone behind everything we do everyday and having a good starting point is important. The bekids Reading app is a reading adventure with Edwin the Robot and his Fantastic Friends as they go thru leveled stories that are specially designed to help kids to grow their reading confidence.

Each digital book comes with exciting interactive games to help cultivate reading skills such as phonics, spelling, and word recognition. There are no unsafe ads either!

The books start out for very beginning readers and advance as your child grows their reading abilities. There are games and colorful pictures as they read. I played around with it before recommending to my sister for my 5-year-old nephew and its so adorable and kids will definitely not even realize they are learning!

Before reading, kids can play around with the characters and then after reading there are quizzes, word games, and puzzles that help promote reading comprehension, enhance word recognition, and build phonological awareness. Rewards then pop up to celebrate kids’ progress and keep them motivated.
