Many thanks to Angel Studios for providing a sample of the product for this review. Opinions are 100% my own.

See Sound of Freedom in theaters starting July 4th!

Sound of Freedom, based on the incredible true story, shines a light on even the darkest of places. After rescuing a young boy from ruthless child traffick-ers, a federal agent learns the boy’s sister is still captive and decides to embark on a dangerous mission to save her. With time running out, he quits his job and journeys deep into the Colombian jungle, putting his life on the line to free her from a fate worse than death.

Sound of Freedom is a powerful new film from Angel Studios (The Chosen, His Only Son) based on an incredible true story!

Moms, this is an important film to bring your older children, friends, small group, and more to this July 4th week. Everyone needs to see this film!

Honestly, as a mother, I worry constantly about my children as all other mothers around the world do. My kids make fun of me at times because of how much I worry or ask questions but bad things happen everywhere. Everyone always thinks something could never happen to them until it does. While I don’t want to scare my kids or put bad thoughts in their heads, I want them to always be careful and know they are loved.

The movie, Sound of Freedom, is the story of a man who didn’t set out to be a hero but also couldn’t pass up doing the right thing. He was the only hope for so many and thankfully he never gave up even though he was told to. I feel like it is a good movie to remind us all to help others and bad things happen all over. It is probably a little scary for younger kids but older teens would understand what is going on and be probably be amazed at the sacrifices and actions taken. Let’s not forget others!
