Tackling Laundry & Household Chores With Safe Products From Charlie’s Soap

Growing up my parents were not really into recycling or healthy products, they did the best they could in the city and that was not how they grew up. I really feel that kids learn from their parents and I want my kids to know there are better choices out there for products and ways of doing things. I had no clue that there were so many safe products to use all over our house but now love that Charlie’s Soap gives me that chance. I feel like Charlie’s Soap tackles laundry the most with their variety of detergents and stain treatments but there are household cleaners as well.

The Natural Powder Laundry Detergent is a highly-concentrated formula free of dyes, parabens, harmful phosphates, or synthetic fragrances. Only a tablespoon per large load is required and it does not leave any residue behind on your clothes. This is a similar product to their Natural Liquid Laundry Detergent but in powder form, so you can choose whichever format you prefer. Traditional laundry detergents contain harsh chemicals that linger in fabric fibers and cause unnecessary wear and tear on your washing machine but from the first load, Charlie’s Soap starts deep cleaning your clothes.

To start off with stains, the Laundry Pre-Spray breaks down and lifts away even the most stubborn of stains without fading colors without harsh chemicals. You apply a few sprays and leave it for 30 minutes or longer for set-in stains. The spray is free of harsh chemicals, solvents, synthetic dyes, and fragrances, meaning it’s easy on your clothes and the environment.

Next up is a product to help if you have hard water. We live in an unincorporated area with well water and even though we have a water softener I notice our whites are not the brightest, especially as we get low on salt. The Laundry Booster for Hard Water is used in combination with laundry detergent to give it a boost in removing build-up on clothes and your machine. It is fragrance-free, gentle on skin, and each 2.64 lbs bag can treat up to 160 loads of laundry. It can take several wash cycles to remove the initial hard water build up in your clothes, but after just a few laundry days, you’ll see your laundry detergent work harder with noticeably brighter, softer, and exceptionally clean clothes, without the need for bleach, brighteners, or fabric softeners.

Speaking of brighter clothes, the Oxygen Bleach: Non-Chlorine Bleach is Charlie’s Soap’s version of a bleach that is a safe and natural non-chlorine bleach that whitens, brightens and eliminates odors. It is an ultra-concentrated non-chlorine bleach that naturally releases safe peroxide and oxygen to tackle tough stains and remove odors. You can also dissolve a little into a spray bottle filled with tap water, and you can clean all over your house to disinfect and stain-fight. I really like that there is no burning chemical smell like traditional liquid bleach.
